I remember Elliott as the guy who made me sit up straight and pay attention while he was singing Moody's Mood For Love a few years back on American Idol. I didn't know the song, but the way he gave justice to that tune instantly merited it as a favorite. I wanted him to win, badly. But he didn't. =(

He released an independent album. And wow, was his single brilliant! The songs complemented his style perfectly, and it was the perfect Elliott album. And this time, I was not the only one who took notice. He even reached Top 14 status at the Billboard Hot 100, and that is saying something.

So when I found out that he's coming to the Philippines, I made sure I saw him. Last night I was at Glorietta, and I tell you, hearing him live is an incomparable experience. He's really one of the greatest vocalists there is. Amazing control, fantastic quality... Waah! It's great that I was there. =D
